Information only
Everything here is general information to help you choose and maintain pool filter media. It is not professional pool service, safety or legal advice. We have not tested the products we discuss; we summarize filter maker manuals, specs and seller statements, which can change without notice.
Follow the maker and the label
Always follow your filter’s label and owner’s manual, including the sand amount and grade and which media it allows, and the safety warnings on any bag of media. Turn off the pump and release the pressure before opening a filter. Pool equipment involves electricity and water under pressure: if you are unsure, hire a pool professional.
